Welcome to the SciFest National Final 2024. The SciFest National Final celebrates the very best in STEM innovation in second-level education and offers the public a chance to engage with inspiring speakers and advocates of STEM. We greatly encourage you to take some time to view the students’ projects, to vote for your favourite video and to enjoy the talks available on Thursday 28 November. Don’t forget to watch the awards ceremony live on this platform or via YouTube on Friday 29 November at 2 pm.

Student Projects

At the SciFest National Final 2024 award-winning students compete for a number of prestigious awards. The final represents a culmination of a year's work for the students. The final also includes a competition for the Boston Scientific Medical Devices Grand Award open to selected winners of the Boston Scientific Medical Devices award at the regional fairs and a competition for the EirGrid Cleaner Climate Grand Award open to selected winners of the EirGrid Cleaner Climate Award at the regional fairs. May I send my best wishes to all those taking part in the SciFest National Final 2024. All of this year's finalists have demonstrated an impressive spirit of creativity and curiosity and a willingness to look at life from different angles and different perspectives, which will be so essential for the crafting of a better, more just and equal future. It is greatly uplifting to receive such assurance of the great wealth of scientific talent and promise that exists amongst our young citizens.

SciFest STEM Outreach Video Award 2024 Gallery

The STEM Outreach Video Award is an opportunity for the SciFest National Finalists to communicate their findings via a 2-minute video. The videos can be voted on by members of the public. The video that gains the most votes will receive a prize at the 2024 SciFest National Final Awards Ceremony on Friday 29 November. Live Awards Ceremony

The SciFest National Final 2024 Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday 29 November in the Marino Conference Centre. The ceremony will be streamed live on this platform and via YouTube. A total of fourteen special awards will be presented to the lucky winners. The ceremony will conclude with the announcement of the SciFest STEM Champion 2024. Details of the winning projects will be available on the Award Winners tab on the main menu.
